Autism & Nutrition
I am excited about this new venture – It’s an area that I find very interesting. As an ex- Social Worker, I have had the privilege of working with children diagnosed with autism. Most parents I worked with struggled with a diet that enabled restful & peaceful sleep. We all know how sleep deprivation affects our moods and behaviour.
Research has shown that dietary intervention is a cornerstone of a evidence-based medical approach, and there is convincing empirical evidence that special diets help many with autism. We just need to be patient in finding the right food groups for autism. Thousands of parents throughout the world have placed their children on special diets and have observed dramatic improvements in moods and behaviour.
Many diagnosed with autism find Gluten & Wheat-free diet very helpful. There are many alternative to Wheat & Gluten products out there. If you are finding that you don’t have the time to do the research on behalf of your child/ren, contact Sakhmet and take it from there. You would be surprised what has been tried and tested.
