I am a woman in my mature years, raised within a lineage of matriarchs who labored without complaint.
Women who raised children, supported families and communities, held down work, and carried responsibility quietly and consistently.
I honour their strength, and I also know that in these times, we must do better.
Today, it is vital that women learn to find and use their voice from an egalitarian, self-respecting place. Not in opposition, but in representation. When we speak for our needs, we change the pattern not only for ourselves, but for the generations of women who come after us. We carry the baton forward.
Speaking for my own needs has not always been easy. This challenge has shown up in both my private and public life. Like many women, I learned to manage, adapt, and endure often at the expense of my inner voice.
Through my work as a holistic therapist, I have seen this pattern reflected again and again. Women arriving tired, emotionally stretched, disconnected from their inner wisdom, unsure how to articulate what they need, yet deeply aware that something must change.
It is from this lived experience , personal and professional that Restoring the Inner Woman was born.
